"Walk & TalkTM America gets entrepreneurs on their feet to help boost local
economies and keep businesses in business - including their own!"

Walk & Talk America!!
What is a Walk & Talk?
We often describe the Walk & Talk as a traditional networking event combined with a walkathon, tradeshow,
and speaker series. How so?
Entrepreneurs, business owners, business professionals, and anyone who wishes to participate meet at a
starting point in a particular town. They receive a destination map with a walking route and
highlighting 4-6 businesses.
Participants have 5 responsibilities - move. network. connect. learn. compete.
While walking and networking, participants arrive at each destination business along the map to learn
something about that business. Instead of the traditional tradeshow event, walk & talks bring the show
directly to the town business location and give owners the opportunity to creatively showcase their
business and expertise.
While walking, networking, and learning, participants are also are on a mission to answer a 'green'
question related to that particular town. The contest winner receives a substantial prize for their business.
Contest rules and prize packages are specific to each event. (Check out local Walk & Talk event details below.)
What types of businesses will be part of the walking map?
All kinds - ActivEntrepreneur finds some of the local town’s greatest, inspiring, yummy, entertaining
and smart businesses and puts them on a fun walking map. And if you don’t have a local town business
location, but would like to participate as a destination business, ActivEntrepreneur will help you
partner with a destination spot such as town hall, a local restaurant or real estate office where you
can showcase your stuff.
Why should a town business sign-up to become a destination business on the walking map?
Market - Destination businesses have a unique 10 minute face-to-face marketing opportunity to creatively
showcase their business to participants using demonstrations, samples, presentations, etc…
Expert - Business owners have an opportunity to market their industry expertise and knowledge.
Exposure - Business owners receive a detailed location on the map which will be archived on the
ActivEntrepreneur website for walkers to use in the future.
